Nobility in Crue Efros is often inherited by birthright.  Though few exceptions exist, some positions may be selected by the royal head of the first estate should inheritance be impossible.  Beyond the first estate, the other estates (with exception of the lesser lords) have two seats of power.  One may not overrule the other and in cases of indecision, their cases must be brought forth to the first estate for final judgement.  Lesser lords must always present their cases to the closest estate.

Unlike their neighbouring nation, the nobles of Vufrien earned their titles through trials of strength.  Though few exceptions exist, some positions may be selected by the royal head of the Haus des Kürschner.  Each Haus is run independently and often by the head of the area's strongest pack.  It is highly ill-advised for those beneath the Haus des Kürschner to attempt to create laws that conflict with the authority of His Royal Majesty.  They are to enforce his word, not attempt to overthrow it.
